Who we are
Kapekost Ltd is a software engineering consultancy registered in England and Wales, company number 12755964. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@kapekost.co.uk.
What we collect
We keep it minimal. There are two ways this site handles data:
- Contact form. When you send us a message we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. That is it. We use this to reply to you and for nothing else.
- Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. We see aggregate page views, not people.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or anything similar.
Why we're allowed to use it
Under UK GDPR our legal basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us, so we use your details to respond and to carry on the conversation. We do not send marketing emails, we do not add you to any list, and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
Who processes it for us
A small number of services process data on our behalf:
- Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Vercel hosts the site and provides the anonymous analytics described above.
Both are bound by their own data processing agreements. Some processing may happen outside the UK, covered by standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as the conversation or working relationship needs them, and review stored correspondence at least once a year. If you want your messages deleted sooner, ask and we will do it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can:
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it or delete it
- Object to our processing of it
Email hello@kapekost.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly start doing something this page says we do not do.
